Mein Hunde! Er ist ein Schnauser! Ein kleine Schnauser! Mit eine kleine schnurrbart unt grau unt schwarts haar. Sehr Kuhl Nicht!
No seriously. We are getting a puppy tommorrow morning and he is a miniature schnauser. Darren Barefoot has comments relating to this breed with wich I totally agree. And further:
I believe that’s the minimum size of dog a man can walk without handing over his testicles.
And a much celebrated ‘name that schnauser‘ event is happening on Breebop.
I am just pleased as punch. And by the way; my German? That is about as gut as it goetz.

Reds are motivated by POWER, seek productivity, and need to look good to others. Simply stated, REDS want their own way. They like to be in the drivers seat and willingly pay the price to be in a leadership role. REDS value whatever gets them ahead in life, whether it be at work, school, or in their personal relationships. What REDS value, they get done. They are often workaholics. They will, however, resist being forced to do anything that doesnt interest them.
Reds need to appear knowledgeable. They crave approval from others for their intelligence and insight. They want to be respected even more than they want to be loved. They want tobe admired for their logical, practical minds. REDS are confident, proactive, visionary, and can be arrogant, selfish, and insensitive. When you deal with a RED, be precise, factual, and direct.

Two pictures in the vein of The Brick Testament, a lego Bible in pictures. A representation of The Nibelungenlied, a Scandinavian folk tale that became well known after Wagner’s opera Die Valkyrie. Here Sigfried battles the horrid dragon Fafnir. I have toyed with storyboarding the whole tale in Playmobil but this would just be a vanity and very time consuming. So here you are then, for fun or idle pleasure, Sigfried and Brunhild!

Canadian diplomats take fire in Baghdad as hail of bullets riddles their car with out warning. American officials unrepentant. Related stories in Afghanistan and again in Iraq.

Surfing off the Awake to Dream blog, I have come across a Faith and Theology Blog. I am not a God Blog haunter usually but there were some stunning pieces of art on this blog here and here. This one is Menorah by Roger Wagner. More evocative of a modern Galgotha I cannot imagine.

This painting here is great. I love the take on all Madonna and Child works and the halo dingling in the corner.
The title “Virgin Spanking the Christ Child Before Three Witnesses” evokes all it is meant to and the Witness themselves lend to the reality of the scene. By Max Ernst. (I bet this one fed him for a year).

We were at the Vancouver Chinese New Year Parade on Pender and Columbia in Chinatown. This was the most exciting and meaningful parade I have ever attended. Real gravitas. Meaningful in ritual, cultural significance, meaningful in history and the building of a new community.
My son was with us and was enthralled by the spectacle, especially the dragons, but what really enthralled me was the town.
This city put on its shiny clothes, banged the big drums, waved its flags and exorcised the demons of a long wet winter. It felt good to shake it out.
